It’s almost the end of March and I never thought that 2019 Would be the year of early mornings — that I enjoyed. Huh? Yeah no that was never me before this year. Work sometimes had me waking up early but I was pretty much #dead the entire morning and it carried through the entire day.
Now I have an early morning routine set in place and y’all I’m sorry but I love it! don’t even know who I am!
In the picture are the core things I do:
I light my candle to start the day relaxed and it soothes me. It really gets me in the mood for my ME time. #lol#saucy
1) Prayer & Reading a Spiritual - God type book -I have these cards from #blessedisshe and they have a bible verse on them (these are the same bible verses that are exaggerated in the @blessedisshe__ bible and I LOVE IT. I mixed them all up and everyday I get to focus on a verse that sometimes it’s from a book I haven’t even opened yet, lol oops. #guilty
I pray for 10 mins (at least, during lent i’m trying to make this 20 mins) and i’m reading Divine Wisdom Dictated to St Maria Valtorta — If your catholic and you want to feel spiritually punched in the face read this, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
2) Morning pages — I write 3 pages. Write is an understatement. It’s really more like word vomit. Anything that comes up goes on the page. Anything that crosses my mind goes on the page. I’m still seeing how exactly this benefits me (i’ll keep y’all updated) so far I just find my hand tired and writing stuff that makes no sense.
3) Business book — I have business books and I want to read them so daily I read 10 pages in the morning and 10 at night to actually piece together the info and keep my brain engaged.
Right now i’m reading 4 Hr Workweek by Timothy Ferris. I read this years ago but hardly recall what he actually says.
P.S. I like to highlight my business books. Thats how I learn best. #judgeme
Idk why, but not my spiritual books.
