🎶 'where is my mind?' - the pixies. I've wondered this myself over the last week too! Over the last 7 days I've had three gigs. Two yoga/harp gigs and also an hour at the hospice. I played this piece last Saturday during savasana..
Life has been crazier than usual lately, so I haven’t had much time to paint, but things are finally slowing down. I’m all settled in to my new apartment and ready to put my painting corner to good use! I’ll be sharing more art (and some exciting updates 🤗) very very soon! 🎨
Would you watch a Batman Beyond movie? 🦇

After looking at my feed I realized I’m in an orange and purple phase right now 😉
This is a detail shot of a 24” x 24” painting that I’ve been adding to for months. This painting could have been complete after the very first layer of paint (a shot of the initial full painting is in the second photo); but, as is often the case with my work, if I add more after that first stage then I’m ensuring that the painting and I will be together for quite some time before I deem it complete. But now I feel like I’m moving into the end stages. Enough so that I think I’ll preserve most of this detail shot even as I continue adding more layers. Does your work follow that pattern? Either minimalism or explosions of paint? Or does each painting usually have the same number of layers/added details?
Thus far this Sunday we’ve just been lounging in bed and I have plans to put the finishing touches on another painting that I’ve been adding to for 6 or so months. (I’ll share that with you later this week!) What are your Sunday plans?
Oh and a reminder: I’m teaching two cathartic palette knife art classes this summer! 🎉 Wine is involved and the link for tickets is in my bio! 😈 🎨 🔪
