Late 90’s Death Row Catalog
Featuring iconic headshot of all the greats
These were made in the 90’s but distributed right at the turn of the 2000’s to music shops everywhere.
Great way to check out what the Death Row discography was at the time all in one place.
Barcode scanners made it easy to price scan and stack those Death Row albums and get to listening.
Couple personal stories for those who care:
1. Guy who gave me these originally didn’t want to part ways with them (understandable) so instead he compromised and let me keep a small stack of them. The way OG pointed and described every member in Death Row to me I knew he did more than just listen but grew up with these people. Every sigh, laugh, and smile that I saw was a story he remembered but I hesitated to ask about.
2. Believe it or not I was not the biggest Tupac fan growing up as a child. Always preferred Biggie whenever I was asked about the two since they were THE topic of discussion around that time. It wasn’t until I heard DJ Screw’s rendition of “I Wonder If Heaven Got A Ghetto” on Chapter 79: Ain’t Nuthin’ Better grey tape. Whenever I first heard Tupac’s pitched down voice that’s when my “I understand now” moment came and it all finally became clear. Hearing that song from another perspective changed my life forever.
