  • #coning or #doming in pregnancy?
.
This is very common for many women and can show up during or after pregnancy. What you are seeing is to much pressure being put on the line Alba (connective tissue that separates the six pack muscles). This is a total normal and SMART function of the body as it makes room for baby. .
The doming that you see is from intra-abdominal pressure not being managed. If you do something that requires to much contraction from your abdominals coning could occur due to the baby growing inside. Sometimes coning can be managed with proper breathing strategy, but that could also get more difficult further along in the pregnancy. If you are experiencing this and can't make it go away, it's probably a good idea to stop that movement for the time being. .

I am currently #26weekspregnant with my first & have been working close with a pelvic floor physio therapist. Together we have worked through many exercises and currently cut out full planks and push ups from toes. I am always watching 👀 and paying attention to how things are feeling!
