We had a lovely lazy day today. Love taking it easy before the week begins. I don't know about you, but I'm still struggling with the whole daylight savings thing... can't wait til they get rid of that altogether!

I’ve sat in here and brainstormed future plans, prayed over my present circumstances and for where I might find myself in the future. I have prayed for you and how I can best create a community and ministry through this online platform, where it’s way too easy to lose sight of what’s really important. •
God is good and he has been moving so tangibly this year. I know He has some big plans and I’m glad we get to come along for the ride //
What a morning! Last Monday we hoped for a couple volunteers to show up, but instead we had 70-80 people help unpack 950 chairs for the new building! Thank you Riverside for responding to Pastor Terry’s trumpet call!
Seeking earthly things to fulfill us will only leave us desiring more than what God actually designed us for.
This world and everything it has to offer will never be better than what's above the sun.
God > everything. Bahlee dat!💋
Church was AMAZING this morning, who else thinks so? 🙋🏽♀️🙋🏽♂️

It’s funny how God has a way of really getting your attention.
A couple weeks ago I told my husband that I felt like we had made everything in our life a priority lately, except for Jesus. We’ve made excuses just like we used to make excuses for why we didn’t get a workout in. “I don’t have time. It takes too long to get the kids ready”.
He’s been dealing with me internally. The guilt of making my workouts a priority before him really weighed heavily with me. If we make time to work out, we need to make time to go to church.
I told Jon how can we expect to be truly blessed if we aren’t putting him first before everything else in our lives.
Last Sunday, we found a church 10 mins away from us and got the kiddos ready and went. The worship service spoke to me and as the pastor prayed over us, I couldn’t help but pray along with the things that had still been a burden to us.
Our tenant moved out over the winter and we had decided it was time to put our other house on the market. It had been on the market for over 3 months, meaning 2 houses mortgages and utilities on each. We had no offers, not one.
3 days after we went to church where I prayed over our house, we got an all cash offer and a one month close date on the house. I can’t tell you how many times I cried that day because I knew it wasn’t a coincidence. It was the Lord.
Today we went back for some more and the message, again was something we needed to hear. What a god we serve and how faithful he is even in times where we really haven’t deserved it.
I want my girls to know what unwavering faith is and see what happens when you put him first in your life. We don’t plan on missing out on that again.
So my friends, it’s never too late to rededicate you life to him. He is a forgiving and loving god. He is there for us through everything. ❤️☺️
When i was writing down this quote, the parable of the wise and foolish builders came to mind👇🏽
““Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.””
Matthew 7:24-27 NIV
Thank God for doctors. Don't get me wrong.
But I've gotten so irritated by how many people place them at the foundation of their faith. If one result of a test can completely dismantle my belief in God's Word... something's wrong. It's either God is God or He's not. ◇
Doctors can make mistakes. Machines can make mistakes. God NEVER makes a mistake. ◇
In no way do I want to come off as insensitive, but we've GOTTA come up higher. We've gotta stop thinking that any sickness, disease...or anything else on the agenda of the devil is bigger than the God we serve. (In no way am I saying that you can live recklessly and not expect the outcome of it. Though I believe even in that, you can make the decision to live a better life and be healed and set free.)
📣God's not trying to teach you a lesson through sickness. This is not His way of spending time with His children. If a parent deliberately made their child sick just to spend time with them, would you consider that love or abuse? 🤔 Abuse, right? I wonder why we keep portraying the loving God we serve as an abuser and wonder why people are so turned off by Him?

When I tell you I was read, Jesus read me for FILTH today at church. Word of others used to and sometimes still does pierce me like a knife. And then it cuts deep I reacted. Today I’m here and healing. Not healed. I’m growing. Not grown. And I’m glad to say that what God has for us is greater than what others say against up. I kneel before Him and He stands up for me. And when He stands up for me, no man can stand against me. So now, I ask God to use what is weak in me to draw me near, bind me up, and build me up. I can’t thank God enough. Prayerfully this cane speak to you like it did to me. #christian#christlife#christianblogger#lifestyleblogger#christianlifestyle#blog#bloggerlife#soulcandysunday#sundaycandy
A glimpse of love in action: Love smiles! When joy begins bubbling within you a spring of smiles will erupt! It is time to OVERFLOW.
ENJOY the Word!
PLAY in the living water!
PRAY sincerely with gladness!
And watch others enjoy your joy! EMBRACE them with the ever-flowing love of God, which is birthed in your heart and made manifest through your EYES, SMILE and LAUGHTER! Let FREEDOM in Christ ring through it all, and others will join the chorus because LOVE IS CONTAGIOUS. Don't believe me? Just look at a bunch of pictures of people smiling or hang out with positive people. Better yet, discover the joy of the Lord in His presence. Smiles are free, they feel good/improve your physical and mental health and uplift others.
You have to have love to pass it on. Spend time with God and your brothers and sisters in Christ and love will happen. Love will water the dry land, make a hard heart soft, turn a frown upside down and make a stiff posture loose. No more daily doldrums because love makes life FUN!
DANCE with grace and show God's face---on yours! "A happy heart makes the face cheerful" (Proverbs 15:13 NIV). #christianity#freedominchrist#pray#praise#christianlifestyle#witnessing#lifestylechristianity#joy#fellowship#intimacywithgod#smile#proverbs#manifestlove#wellwateredwomen#menofgod#teenagersforchrist#childrenofgod
Everyone- we spent ten BILLION dollars on self help products last year 😳
So I have a real love of reading, and I enjoy a good self help book as much as the next guy.
But what is this really saying when it’s how we’re spending our money?
I think it means that we realize we’re broken, but we don’t realize that we can’t fix ourselves.
That can only come from a relationship with the Lord, who makes all things new.
I’m not saying to never read another self-help book, but let’s examine ourselves first to figure out WHY we think we need it.

Love doesn't only mean showing it to other people, it also means loving yourself. Self-love is the most important virtue one can have , because that is the beginning of loving others. The Bible says that we should love our neighbors as ourselves. If you can't love yourself how do you expect to love others? The love I speak of is not the narcissistic or egoistic type. When I speak of loving yourself it's putting on your seatbelt when you enter the car, or wearing a helmet when you hop on a motorcycle, it's making sure you keep your house clean so you don't fall sick or taking care of your body and staying healthy , it's also taking time out from your busy life to pray and meditate. If you don't have love for yourself you can't give to someone else something you don't have. Loving yourself makes it easier to love others , because when you have that premium for yourself you then have an example of how you should treat other people. Please take the time to learn how to love yourself unconditionally.
