11 month difference! ✌🏻Left July 2018 just graduated college, first full year without swimming and just solely lifting.. lean. ✌🏻Right June 2019 1 year out of graduation, college coach, solely just lifting but eating the right amount and now a bit beefy 🤪
So look I’m going to be real with you guys .. yesterday I wore shorts that I haven’t worn probably since last summer and that was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt in a piece of clothing. I honestly haven’t seen that much of a difference in my body mass to think “hey you should check this article of clothing to see if it properly fits or not “. I had planned my outfit for the festival and the shorts were tight around my thighs, butt, even waist. I instantly just felt kind of like I was out of shape..uncomfortable and I would tug at my shorts constantly to keep them down and I got to the point where I would take off my rain jacket and tie it around my waist to hide it. For the entire day I had I felt like I had lost every bit of fitness related goals I had made within a year.... .
But here’s the thing that a lot of people on Instagram won’t tell you muscle mass growth is uncomfortable, you have to push yourself to get to your goals and it won’t be easy. Sometimes the best things in life never are! You have to work for the things you want, stop wishing for it to happen and just do it! 🙏🏼💪🏼
Now onto the positive since my little rant is over. Lulz. I realize I had brought the same exact leggings that I had last year and I just wanted to see what the difference could be and now I have to say I am so proud of myself it’s not the best I could do but it’s a pretty damn good job. Never sell yourself short whether you gain 1 pound of muscle or you gain 10 pounds of muscle or if you lose 2 pounds or if you lose 10 pounds. BE PROUD OF YOURSELF.
