Probably one of the symbol of Oleron Island! 😍 do you like these colored cabins? You can find these everywhere on the Island! We generally find artists, craftsmen and ostro keeper! A lot of knowledge that make the charm of the Island! Little detail that I love, it’s a bit disorderly! 😂
Had a great time meeting some of the wonderful local businesses today at the @proudlynorfolk food festival.
It’s important to support local food because A. It helps individuals rather than fat cats in head office and B. It tastes a shit ton better!
I married my best friend, my Knight in shining armor.. You my love have always provided, protect, and loved us without expectation, with no demands. You have willingly and unselfishly given us all of you. We were teenagers when we had our first child. I just 13, and you 15. Even then you worked hard to give my parents money to pay for the delivery of our child. We moved in together, and you continued to finish high school while working. Then two years later our second son was born. Again you provided, working hard while I finished high school. All if this while in our own little house, raising our family together. Now, 39 years later we have 6 children and 11 grandchildren!! You have always been a loving father, with a remarkable sense of humor. You are the voice of reason when I get all crazy! Your the Ying to my Yang, the peanut butter to my chocolate, the cream to my coffee, and the dip to my potato chips!! Thank you so much my love for giving when never asked.. You are the opitomy of father, of a husband, of a man. To say you are simply the best doesn't do you justice. Humble is the man who thinks lightly of himself, but deeply of the world.. Happy Father's Day my love..
“I wish I said this instead of that at the time!” - a totally natural thing to think after you’ve had an argument, a discussion or after giving advice. You can always think of a better answer after the moment, right?
This is something Sofi said after her interview, wishing she had answered in different ways. “I should have said this”, “I should have said that” but everything she said in that moment was great and it meant something. The ‘in the moment’ response is us showing ourselves in the most genuine light possible.
I feel that we really don’t give ourselves credit for how we positively act in the moment. Sure we could have done things differently but we didn’t and we got to accept that. Comparing how we acted to how we think we should have acted when we’ve had time to evaluate ourselves totally discredits the good that we may have done in the first place. Comparing ourselves against an imaginary hypothetical version of ourselves that doesn’t even exist where the outcomes are always perfect isn’t fair, comparison is a thief of joy and you should appreciate your efforts however little they may seem to you. Because they might mean a lot more to someone else.
Credit is due to you no matter what. You did what you could at the time and it’s worth recognising the value within that. Peace x
