Define A Woman
Did I ask you for a definition of myself?
Did I ask you to define me?
And all that I am
All that I could be?
I am made of mountains.
I am made of multitudes.
I am the andes, the alps and the avalanche.
I am more than can be contained
If you flip my hands over and let your fingertips trace the fine lines
running laps over my wrists
wrapping rings round my veins
you’ll feel continents.
The cosmos runs through a woman
Like a track star streaking starlight
I am infinite.
My torso bears
that penetrate the sky
that run rivers
I am ripe
I stretch on into eternity
When I bend my back
I am decadent
I am giving
You can’t make me.
I am already made. 🌺
This morning in my stories, I shared about how I cried through my workout. I cried because it was so hard and I felt like I wasn’t good enough. I watched as @shaunt and his team CRUSHED their workouts and I cried because it felt like I’d never be able to do the same.
After finishing my workouts, I sat and thought about that mindset. I’m not those people on the TV, and I never will be. I am and will only ever be me. No, I’m not as good as some people, but their journey is not the same as mine. We all have to start somewhere. I am not on the same path as anyone else, I am forging my own path. It’s so easy to compare yourself to others and think you aren’t good enough. It’s so easy to compare yourself to others and find fault in everything you are doing. I am on the beginning of my journey. Sure this beginning has been full of detours, but I’m still here. I’m still showing up every day, I’m still pushing myself everyday, I’m still making better choices everyday.

Getting super real here....
My workout this morning seriously kicked my butt! When putting the video clips together, I decided to show all the struggle. Because if you think I get through these workouts perfectly, you would be totally wrong! But the point is, to keep going! Even when it’s hard and you want to quit. You can always find a little bit left in the tank to push through! Never give up!
So today I signed up to run this 10k and I’m excited! 2 years ago I trained to run a marathon which I never got to participate in but for the training I completed a half marathon which I thoroughly enjoyed 🤪 So I hope to this will give me the incentive to get running again 🏃♀️ So now I’m going to mix up my workouts so that I can incorporate some runs. The beauty of home workouts means that I can do just this and as Beachbody On Demand has SO many different programs I can pick one that fits my specific needs ☺️ I have chosen Joel Freeman’s Lift 4 which is an 8 week training program that is a combination of weight and HIIT over 4 days a week which allows for 2 running days and a rest day 😎
Bearing in mind my training plan for race I intend to start a Lift 4 accountability group to start 29/04/19.
If you would like to come along for the ride with me and me to have your back and keep you accountable to complete a kick ass program then drop me a 💪 below or DM me.
We have got this 👊
