A song that I had listened to years ago, back in 2013 popped into my head today. -
🎼You are the dawn of a new day that’s waking
A masterpiece still in the making
The blue in an ocean of grey
You are right where you need to be
Poised to inspire and to succeed 🎵🎶 -
It’s called Wanderer’s Lullaby, and I know I didn’t just remember that song out of no where. It was like a reassurance from God that I am exactly where I need to be. Going through exactly what I need to go through to prepare myself for my future. Good and Bad alike, He’s teaching me. And I’m more than ever now, listening and learning. 💕

For the better part of my short career in photography I have focused on trying to take pretty pictures or ones considered “cool.” Ones that didn’t necessarily have a lot to say. Even though i have always believed in content over mere style. Anyway I would like to some degree shift that focus to having more substance.

As soon as I drop off my things at the hotel, I always ask the hotel staff where the locals eat. As I approached Poor Boy Lloyd’s @poorboylloyds , it looked old, and it has been my experience that that is a good sign. As I entered, the decor reminded me of a dining room that had seen many family dinners over the course of several decades; meaning, cozy, haphazard, and charming. The ladies that greeted me were warm and seeing that I was new, walked me through the menu, specials, and the ordering process. I chose the Shrimp Po Boy and went to find a seat. As I searched, I noticed an old man sitting in front of a large front window in an area that can only be described as a miniature convenience store. A rack next to him had candy galore, and a register, which told me he only takes cash. If there is a Lloyd, I have a feeling this is him.
As for the food; I don’t know what the standard is for Po Boy’s, but this was a good sandwich, though I found the bread to be too firm and crispy, but I’ve always been partial to soft bread. But, the breaded and fried shrimp were falling out of the sandwich there were so many, and the cajun style fries were the perfect accompaniment.
After I ate, I was given a ticket and told to pay up front. Of course! ‘Lloyd!’ I was so pleased with my meal that even with FOX News blaring I maintained my happy mood. I paid in cash, ‘Lloyd’ gave me a mint, and wished me well.
