I did a beautiful fashion show this past weekend for an organization called A Step Ahead Entertainment. Their noble goal? To raise money for our inner city youth to receive higher education. Too many kids these days are getting wrapped in the wrong scene- celebrating negative habits and destructive lifestyles. Unfortunately many school systems trying to prevent that by striking in authority, oppressive natures, and diminishing creativity. Hell is paved with good intentions. It's time to get grown, grown folks. Let's teach our kids to harness the power of creativity to dream and give back to their communities, not to suppress it and be able to only express it and learn about it in the wrong places. Thanks to Sheek Boutique for letting me model your work, I am humbled!
Happy Easter. Enjoy these beautiful and divine models dancing on the runway stage. I put a dress on for the grand finale but I had to get off the stage to video all of you and how gorgeous you all looked.
I'm really glad I was able to come to the rehearsals, work with amazing people, and make new friends. Back in my early 20s I would most likely be hating on prettier girls, eating honey mustard wings, and feeling lonely, angry, insecure, and suicidal. Now I do fashion shows with some of LA's finest quality of men and women. I'm so honored to be a part of a group of people who care about others. I'm so grateful that I am given another chance to be a good person and to do good things for others. May everyone have blessings rain upon them this weekend, including you reading this at home.
