So - Adult babies. Well this was a very uncomfortable / funny / interesting movie that tried. Key word tried something. Not sure what the thing was that they were trying but they tried something. The practical effects were very impressive- loved the touch with the claymation. But if you plan on watching this movie. Well I’m not sure how you’d plan this but ... if you plan to watch this movie go in with your disbelief fully suspended also eating food while watching this movie is not recommended

She has gotten so good at signing for bathroom!! 🙌 We are at 7 months now and the crawling and busy independence has made it harder to catch the pees but she is signing when she needs to go. The days of the EC over the sink hold are over. She loves to sit on the toilet while I sing her silly songs to distract her. Once she pees or poops she claps and is very excited to get off the pot and back to crawling. The use of sign language is key in these months for us! If she’s too busy or tired I’ll go through the signs, milk - bathroom - food.... she will stop crying and signal back to me with a smile when she gets the sign she is trying to communicate. It’s rad! Baby’s are smart, don’t forget it! #babysignlanguage#ec#pottytraining#babies#eliminationcommunication **reminder tip** if she starts to poop in her diaper, calmly take her to bathroom, removed diaper and clean up as necessary but put her on potty after and sing or be silly to allow her to relax, she will have more poop more times than not and even if she doesn’t it is a gentle reminder of where she can ask to go poop next time. Same with pee changes, always give them an opportunity to pee or poo more before placing a new diaper on 👊

I took this picture last week when I was walking into the hospital to visit a client on bedrest. The beautiful weather matched my client’s attitude, and my own. .
Like other things I have done in my life, I started my doula career by acteing the way my trainers acted. Saying what they said. Used the same tools. It sucked. I felt phony. I burned out.
So I stepped back. And a funny thing happened. People in other states started calling me. An old friend. Another friend’s nanny. Her bet friend. And before I realized it, I was a remote doula.
Now, I am the most ME I have ever been. I use the tools that I find most useful, I talk like me, I dress like me, and it feels so *good.* (Contented sigh!) Iit’s making me better a better doula, and brings me inspiring clients that I love serving. .
Feeling full of gratitude and hope today. I hope everyone is or will feel this way, too.
