Feels amazing to be in the studio today ✨. I’ve spent few days shooting📸 and mass editing for a new project that I’m so excited to reveal in the next few weeks (keeping fingers crossed the clouds break up a bit). 🎨
Sometimes it seems like things never slow down 🌬. I go from hustling 🤹🏼♀️ toward one new project to the next with hardly a chance to exhale 👩🏼🎨. But when I do find moments to reflect and unwind, I love to do it with bowl-sized cup of hot coffee ☕️ Something about the the smoky warmth makes for a perfect compliment to my need to chill. ☕️ What’s your go-to beverage when you want to relax?
Collage on mirror. Featuring the famous French tightrope-walker Philippe Petit balancing on a wire with a giant rose, above Montreal’s very own 8th wonder of the world - the Biosphere - but true to myself, I put it in flames🔥 I named it “Interlude” (interludes are these short 1-2 minute songs sometimes musicians put in-between their album’s main songs.) To start off my year, that’s exactly what i gave myself : a little interlude! ☀️ After a productive 2018 aka my first year of putting my art out there in the world, I took a little time to think, brainstorm & reposition myself & my intentions. For my fellow artists and creatives : it’s ok not to post every day / week, it’s ok if you need to unplug from social media (& the world in general😛) to get in your creative bubble without distractions or even just for the sake of your mental health… To each their own rituals & creative processes :) Anyways, I hope you all had an awesome start to this year! Excited for what’s to come !!!🤘
Here is a snap of me in my studio before Christmas, I had two heaters but still in a coat haha! The studio is so lovely, but it can get chilly.
This week due to a bit of a mental health wobble and the weather being particularly cold, I have decided to work at home.
I am very grateful that I have the flexibility to work in different places. I am always so grateful for every order too, keeping me doing what I love!
I'll be bouncing around a few places over the next month for various reasons (keep more up to date through Instagram stories!) I'm excited to get back into my studio next week though, any tips on keeping warm while I paint?
Cranking out one or two paintings a day until the end of the month - slightly stressful but also very satisfying and fun! Here’s how the latest turned out. All these are for a collaboration with @alvarezmovement about unrequited love that we’ll be releasing in February. ✂️💔❤️🌿
