Are you hopeful for your splits to improve?🙏🏼
I know all the hard work, prayers, and rain dances that go into improving your flexibility. •
You don’t need to do those rain dances any more. My flexibility course works FAST. Instantly for 99% of the people who’ve done it so far with me and at home. •
What do you have to lose? Nothing, I know. This course costs less than a pair of technique shoes, a movie (in California) that T-shirt you’ve been eyeing, and more importantly ONE dance class. •
Not a lot to lose, everything to Gain.

Pointe shoes or not? That is the question when training. I have a client that has been coming for a year after a Spinal fracture to strengthen and reassess her dance technique. (To realize what poor movement tendencies caused the fracture. •
You see, she’s a beautiful mover but WE ALL have poor movement tendencies we’ve picked up from poor cueing, over working, being in a group and more. •
So I integrate pointe shoes into the mix. I KNEW she was going to loose all the good work she’s learned because...POINTE SHOES SUCK SOMETIMES...maybe all the time🤪 •
we still do it. I did it. You’ll do it. And they are beautiful when mastered. BUT they are not great for the rest of our body. •
I think we tend to only think about the effect they have on our feet. The ripple up the body is much greater then that. •
-Your feet can’t spread and grip the floor
-your standing a a skinny raised surface
-they rub and wear on your feet causing pain that makes your brain want to shift away from it...causing poor movement patterns. •
So! All that and I still appreciate the pointe shoe art. I just want you to realize how much extra work needs to go into strengthening your BODY, when you wear pointe shoes. •
Go check out my stories today to see us lifting kettlebells in pointe shoes 💪🏼
Good morning standing side. This video shows some good work happening. I normally show the finished product of hard work but today I want to show the work and adjustments it takes to get to the polished finished product
She is working on her standing side supporting her. (Her other side is much better) and she’s making her self more even. •
Don’t be confused by the simplicity of what she’s doing. That band has high tension and takes a bit of strength and control to keep from falling. •
Keep up the hard, thankless work, that no body sees. I see the hard work behind all your dancing and appreciate it at a level you may not know.
Anyone’s toes dead yet?😉 happy recital season to you! I KNOW how much work goes into a show and it’s a lot of literal blood, sweat, and tears. •
Merde to you! And enjoy this time as one door closes on one chapter of life and watch for that next window!;) it’s always there and most of the time, it’s not where you expect. 📷 unknown.
Increasing grip strength connects to the whole shoulder girdle. It’s been great for my dancers as they are working on strong supports from the torso. Try hanging several times a week as long as you can, and start building up your grip.
