Christie + Ben’s beaut wedding featured on @rockmywedding (link in bio) ⚡️ so grateful for all the support from @rockmywedding, only 3 years ago I would browse through the blog for inspiration & wishing my photos would be on it, and now hopefully my stuff inspires others. Crazy!
Happy Monday friends! I’m “Reflecting 😉” on this crazy spring break as I head back to Chico this morning. What a week filled with tons of fun, friends, food, games, shoots, and traveling. Dreading to look at my piles of homework I’ve been ignoring all week 🙃 Also grad pics are STARTING this week! Wish me luck!
Wow, you guys! I am blown away by how many of you entered the portrait session giveaway! We had almost 300 entries, and in my book, that is a HUGE success! Thank you all who entered! I am just over the moon excited!! ⠀
Now’s the time to announce the winner (if you haven’t seen my Instagram Live video).....⠀
Congratulations to @areed15! You are the lucky winner for a full portrait session! I will be sending you a message shortly to give you some more info! ⠀
Because you all are SO amazing, I am also giving a 20% discount to everyone who entered!! 🎉⠀
If you want to book a portrait session (must be scheduled for a 2019 date), just send me a DM saying you entered, and we will get that session booked, friend!!⠀
Thank you all again! These giveaways are fun, so I just might do one again later this year!⠀
Happy Monday! ☀️ I love when the week starts with a bright sunny day. I can’t get enough of the that warm golden light, especially after coming out of a harsh winter like we just had here in Chicago. 🥶 — When I set up an engagement session with my clients, I always try to plan it during the last few hour of sunlight, also known as the golden hour. The light helps create some of the most magical moments like in this shot. 💖
Im Botanischen Garten in Berlin kann man wunderbar fotografieren. Wie hier mit Odett und Erik.
At the botanical garden in Berlin you can find great shooting locations. Like this one with Odett and Erik.
How did I miss National Puppy Day?! Even though I missed it, a huge thanks to Instagram’s weird algorithms, because now I get to see puppies filling my feed for the next few days. #whenthealgorithmactuallyworksforyou
Anyways, I love my dogs, but we aren’t very photogenic together- not to mention they live far away with my parents. 😭 So instead, here is Whitney and Spencer and their dogs who look like they are out of some epic outdoor magazine.
For future couples, please feel free to include your fur-babies in your shoots- both because you love them, but also because you’ll let me get my puppy fix for the week 😉
“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.”
👏😂 What a perfect quote to describe this adventure session!
Claire + Tucker, their two small dogs (in a backpack!) and I hiked up to St Mary’s Glacier this weekend. It was steep, but the weather and lighting was great so we were excited. Things changed as soon as we got to the top; the trees opened up and we were blasted with knock-you-down winds. We honestly had less than 5 minutes to take photos, but these two were such troopers that we still managed to get a couple dreamy shots 😍
We ended up hiking down to warm up and plan another date to re-shoot; sometimes you just have to let go of expectations and roll with whatever life + Mother Nature gives you! 😂😄❄️
To have a day that is truly focused on you and your partner, without any noise or distraction. To have the raddest day that you could think of in a place you love most. To be free to be exactly who you are with no expectations getting in the way. To have your day really be *your day* in every sense of the word. For the adventure. To break the mold. Cause you feel like it. .
There’s loads of reasons to elope (and loads of reasons to have a traditional wedding, too!). But there’s a beauty and bravery about eloping that just makes me melt. It feels like the greatest adventure, well, ever.
