7 weeks out from my first PCA comp. Friday check in this week because my ditzy head didn’t realise it was Thursday until midday yesterday 😅🤯
I think every competitor understands the excitement of the hamstrings finally peaking through! 🙋🏽♀️ For me it is certainly one of my stubborn area’s. A good check-in and progress made is exactly the pick me up I needed today after being ill with a cold. I forced myself to do the sensible thing and rested which did me the world of good as it meant I only had to take one whole day off training & cardio 🙌🏽 2 session’s coming up today at tomorrow at @strengthasylum & I’m SO ready to push at my usual intensity now i’m feeling better! 👊🏽
I am happy with where I am at for this point of prep, however at no point will I be taking my foot off the gas- there is still plenty of work to be done until I am happy with my final physique and feel ready to step on stage! If anything i’m getting more motivated to push harder each week! When you see changes/progress this should spur you on NOT make you relax. Not long until we really start to push for conditioning, @dannibosworth is planning on having me ready in plenty of time so we can coast in with no drastic changes
👌🏼Some days I rock my cardio out no issue.... yesterday did 10 min on a higher level and could have gone longer. 😬 This morning ...... I swear I was on those stairs for 45 min and it was only 6 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ 🙌🏻 Tonight I killed my back workout so I was pumped and knew I could rock out some cardio..... WRONG!! 3 min in and I wanted to die.
So you know what I did.... I played on my phone to pass time, I tried watching Netflix to distract me, I dropped the F bomb every 5 seconds. But before I started I told myself I would make it a certain length of time, so I made damn sure I hit that goal!
Guys, I am not motivated 100% of the time, or hell even 50% of the time. But I know where I want to be and what I need to do. And I have the best people in my corner. So there is no way I am letting them or myself down!
And this week was a shit week but I wasn’t letting some crap I couldn’t control get me down! Gotta keep grinding 💪🏼
Had a meltdown this morning because I’m hungry and tired and not looking the way I want to at almost #6weeksout. Took a deep breath, put on my big girl pants, ate my oatmeal, then got my booty to the gym and killed my lift + cardio. The scale isn’t always the best indicator of progress. That said, I am refusing to make any more excuses for the next 6.5 weeks. Safe to say life has well and truly shit on me the last couple of weeks. I have struggled but I’ve not used it as an excuse to eat off plan, miss training/cardio sessions and basically wallow in self pity as I would’ve in the past. It’s just made me more determined to smash these comps and focus on what I really want to achieve this year!
Scary to say but I want to get to those finals in October and with the help and guidance of boss man @coachjmchale we will hopefully get there 🤞🏼

I know people are always raving about high end expensive leggings but have you ever tried the seamless American eagle leggings? They fit like a glove and I'm not having to keep pulling them up throughout my workout. I'm always looking for affordable workout clothes because I spend a ton of time in them. I think these were around $30 last year and I just ordered another pair this week for $33!

I tried on this suit my very first week of prep. I knew I had a TON of work to do, but I wasn’t afraid of some hard work. 23 weeks out vs 7 weeks out. I say it fits me better now ❤️💪🏻. I always get asked how I’ve done it. Hard work + consistency. That’s the “magic pill”. #7weeksout#humpday
Ugh!!! My run time is still not good enough!! I need the get it closer to the 30min mark...😠😠😠 I feel good that I ran today after work but it also has me frustrated too. ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️
I know I can do it better!! My new shoes felt good and the cushion running socks really helped but I'm still getting stiffness along my exterior front calf muscle. It runs parallel to my shin. Any runners who see this please feel free to send me tips on how to counter this. I think that is what's slowing my time. This won't stop me, I will over come! Back at it tomorrow! ⚡️⚡️⚡️⚡️

... I think one of the coolest things things about competing that I didn’t expect are all the amazing, inspiring, down-to-earth women I have had the privilege of meeting and spending time with!!! We just had a big @zozobeeflexwear photo shoot and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!! Have I known these women all my life? Lol. We’re planning a big trip to Vegas and I have a feeling it’s going to be a freakin’ blast!
