I found this photo in "camera" file among my old photos. If I'm not mistaken it was 31 December 2016 (yes, I almost spent NW in train) during winter vacations. I passed my first final exams and couldn't wait to get home. Ah, what a good time!
Do you like taking trips by train? A month ago I would answer "Yeah, that's not bad. Train has its own romantic atmosphere" - and u know what - fck it. No trains from now on.
🚨018/365 Creative Currency ‘Gram fam, I can’t tell you how many Friday nights was budget ballin. Working in the service industry since college, it was normal for me to be working on the weekends. It was a way for me to combine a social life and make money. But as a designer, to get by anywhere especially in Miami, the currency is in one’s creativity. Bartering since I was a kid, it still holds strong to either get into a club by showing love to the door man with some siegeINK shirts, or to my bartender friends and managers.
But the huge key about all this is NOT expecting anything from anyone, just show love to show love. That’s all! I hate hearing people who are let down by others because “they didn’t look out the way you did”. Shame on you, because that’s inauthenticity of your kindness. We shouldn’t have no open ended expectations. Really, none. Because that’s how you get let down! It will always works out the way it works out and you’ll know immediately if the love is a two-way street, but Karma is real and real practical. If I didn’t have tip money for a bartender or server I always was able to at least gift a shirt that I love seeing that happiness in their face when receiving one.
A quick logo flip as I’m still on that nostalgic kick for my old school heads for a flashback Friday. 💊 Printscription

“When I'm stressed, I recite the four species of Antarctic penguin. Adelie, Chinstrap, Emperor and Gentoo. It helps. Mom taught me when I was little. You should try it next time you think you're dying. Except if you really are dying, it won't help at all.” Sam Gardner
