Shanghai... We did it!! Maybe impossible to find the words to describe today. these pictures will try: The hard work of so many incredible Shack leaders over so many years, the hospitality of our new friends here in China, our dedicated US, Hong Kong and Shanghai team members, and the sheer enormity of it all. Breathtaking, humbling, and exhilarating all at once. Thank you China for welcoming us with open arms. I’ve truly never experienced anything on earth like it. #shakeshack

Hands down best part of my day touring Shacks in Orlando was reconnecting with Junia! She’s been working at Shack for more than 10 years and has trained countless leaders in NYC and beyond. Today she leads our team at Millenia in Orlando. I’ve watched her grow from hourly team member to leader and super hard working mom. She defines what Shack is all about. Come see her sometime!

A little more than 16 years ago, I saw a girl on the Q train. She never saw me. Four hours later, by some miracle, she walked into Tabla and I took her coat and seated her at table 20. A year later we were engaged. From time to time we come back to our bench outside Tabla where it all began. ❤️
Next time you’re flying through the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, stop by and snag a burger for the flight. We’ve recently opened Shacks at LGA and DFW too - so we can give you something good for your travels. Say hey to these hard working teams next time through! ✈️
Wait for it..
Found some polar bears out here to kick off 2019!!!

I interrupt this Christmas date night with a story. 21 years ago, this man, Bob Yee, was the first person I ever encountered at a little neighborhood joint called Union Square Cafe. If not for Bob, I’m pretty sure I never meet Danny Meyer, and I’m certain I wouldn’t have experienced what true hospitality looks like long before I ever dreamed of living in New York. I married Maria while working along side Bob at USC 14 years ago.
I believe there are angels along our life’s journey who appear just when we least expect it. Today, Bob continues his noble vocation, bringing pure joy and hospitality to everyone he meets. To be served by him is the difference between a meal and an extraordinary evening. Thank you my friend for bringing your superpower to USC that night, and for years to come.
