Not a good start of our week because we lost our grandpa but made sure my husband had the best week so far. SA to ATX. Love you and thank you for being the best husband and papa we can ever ask for. Love you love.
Breakfast for dinner 😋
MY FAV! 🍳🥓🥔🧀
2 eggs over easy
3 slices turkey bacon (extra extra extra crispy 😂)
1 cup ore ida hash browns (with a ridiculous amount of Sriracha 🌶)
1/4 cup fat free cottage cheese
What’s your favorite breakfast food?!
Today’s treadmill run was a test in patience. The treadmill stopped mid run 4 times, but tonight it was my only alternative before work. Soooo, every time it stopped I took a second to be grateful that I even had this option, took 3 deep breaths and started again. It may not always be ideal, but I always feel 100% better after a run.
Ps- I think my son is obsessed with bowling.😂
Of course I never do right and he gets upset with me so instantly out of no where ... I'm ready to just burst into tears and avoid everyone... I did nothing and I still do everything to become the problem ..

What’re you thinking about?” he asked.
I looked over, quickly scanning his arms, then meeting his eyes. “Camping,” I said still walking. By 9:30am this morning I was heading to my 3rd coffee appointment. “I’m taking my kids camping for a few days, leaving today and trying to figure out what I’m missing.” -
“Wow. Aren’t you lucky!” he said with a wry grin, “I camp everyday. I’ll tell you what you’re missing.”
Turns out I WAS missing something: perspective. -
This is Cody. Cody told me about his 20yrs addicted to heroin, waking up everyday already in withdrawals, and acquiring multiple felony’s feeding his habit. -
“But you’re clean,” I said. -
“Yes I am!” he grinned again. He knew I had scanned him. I felt embarrassed and grateful for his grace all at the same time. He told me about the cop who arrested him 30+ times, who found him half dead. He became his “angel cop”, bringing Cody blankets and food and even a joint for the weeks he went through hell in the alley behind us. -
That was 2.5 years ago. Since then Cody has helped nearly 150 people get to the nearby drug treatment center. His radiates as he tells me his purpose, that familiar way people who know their calling do. Cody asks God everyday to help him help someone. I tell him he can take the day off now.
I read once that Father Rohr “prays for one good humbling a day.” I got mine.
We’re camping now and I’ve got.every.damn.thing.
