  • The funny thing about making your hobby your career is that you realise you need to pick up a new hobby- although that's pretty tough because you're putting all your time and energy into making your new career work. Having worked for myself a couple of years now I've learnt to make time for new hobbies - hobbies like skiing, something I never did as a kid and really want to indulge in more. It's not exactly a cheap hobby though so if someone asked 'what would you do if you won £10k every month?' I'd probably still spend a lot of time on my photography but I'd be able to afford more time spent on the slopes too...and then maybe finally I could do a black run without sweating in fear all the way down! #ad #SetForLifeTNL #AmazingStartsHere @tnluk

  • Fun fact for you- The first speedcubing championship was held on this day in 1981. There were two winners who both clocked in the exact time of 38.0 seconds. The latest world record was set last year at 3.47 seconds (by Yusheng Du from China). None of this has anything to do with Qatar, where I took this photo, but the idea of someone doing a Rubik's Cube super fast inspired this little animation so today seemed a good day to share it! #EducationCity @qatarfoundation #RubiksCube #SpeedCubing

  • (Competition now closed) It's World Book Day today so I'm giving away a couple of copies of my book "Around The World in Cut-Outs". Tag yourself & a friend who likes to travel in the comments and I'll choose the winners over the weekend. The book features my favourite images as well as some brand new ones I've never shared on Instagram. There's also a whole section where I take you behind the scenes on ideas that totally failed and as a bonus there's an interactive section where you can create your own images in my style. Happy Reading and Good Luck if you enter! #worldbookday #giveaway

  • Did anyone see Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse? I didn’t catch it straight away but then someone said it was wildly different to anything they’d seen before and that intrigued me. They were right. The animation style is something special & the film sounds great too (Post Malone, Juice WRLD & more are on the soundtrack). It’s coming back to IMAX screens as part of Cineworld’s IMAX Film Fest on March 2nd & I’m seeing it again because it’s so visually impressive (and because tickets for the festival cost less than the price of a coffee!) • I still haven’t seen Bohemian Rhapsody - I was sort of waiting to gauge the reviews, then Christmas happened and it kind of got too late to see it on the big screens. Fortunately Freddie’s making an encore on March 2nd as part of Cineworld’s IMAX Film Fest (along with a bunch of other big films from 2018) so there’s a second chance to catch it on the sort of screen it was meant to be seen on. In fact I might just spend the whole day at the Film Fest catching up on the all the films I missed out on from 2018 [AD] @cineworld @imax #BohemianRhapsody

  • Okay so being a tall guy has some perks- we get a great view at concerts, reaching for things on top shelves is never a problem and we even have our own national day (11th Feb), but finding clothes that fit perfectly is a downside for us…until now! @ted_baker_menswear with Peter Crouch, have launched a new #TforTall collection, and I like what I've tried on so far. Everything fits, looks good and I can leave the house knowing I won’t get cold ankles. Ted and Crouchy- if you’d like to keep tackling #TallPeopleProblems, can I suggest finding a solution to low door frames next? [AD] #TedBaker

  • Here's a tailor-made stencil for one of my favourite landmarks here in the UK (yup, pun intended). I'm a fairly tall guy, although nowhere near 66ft like the Angel of the North, but on occasion even I get asked what the weather’s like up there. I can't imagine how often the really tall 6'7" guys like Peter Crouch & Mark Foster get asked that! One upside of being tall though is the new T for Tall collection by @ted_baker_menswear – a whole range of clothes designed for gents over 6'3". So there's no need for that tailor afterall...unless you are actually 66ft tall [ad] #TforTall #TedBaker

  • I've been doing Jocko Willink's Navy SEAL challenge where he recommendeds waking up early every morning to give yourself more time to do the things you really want to do. It's gone well so far- I've been waking up at 5am, I turn the alarm off and then I decide that what I really want to do is get a couple more hours sleep, so that's what I do! But in all seriousness it's genuinely something I'm trying to do (coffee will play a role in dragon me out of bed though). Anyone else heard of this early rising challenge?

  • I'm keen to explore Europe a lot more this year- a decision I probably should have made a while ago rather than leaving it until being on the verge of leaving the EU. Oh well! If you have any recommendations for places in Europe that you think I'd enjoy exploring with a camera & cut-out then I'd love to hear about them. All suggestions would be very much appreciated & rewarded with a 💕 emoji (cos y'know, it's nearly Valentine's Day)
