  • A solicitor who spent decades defending a series of paedophiles in court has been jailed for #sexuallyassaulting six children. MikePulsford, 67, sexually assaulted three boys and three girls from a church youth group, forcing them to kiss him and touch him inappropriately. He even told one victim, 12, that the attack took place because he was ‘pretty’, Southampton Crown Court heard. The court heard that Pulsford started abusing the children, who were part of church group the Crusaders, now known as Urban Saints, as a 23-year-old. Judge Peter Henry said: ‘You were a sexual predator. Whilst it might be said in the 1970s and 80s the public were less attuned to the serious impact of #sexualabuse on children, you would be acutely aware as a solicitor.’

⚠️WARNING⚠️ This story contains graphic details and photographs about a domestic violence incident that may be upsetting. If you or someone you know needs help, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. I’d like to personally thank @kaylahayes101 for being so courageous and also for allowing me to share her story. On Oct. 21, 2017, Hayes met with Seth Fleury to talk about their failed relationship. Fleury became angry when Hayes refused to resume the relationship with him, he then attempted to kiss her, she pulled away and he bit down on her bottom lip with such force that her lip was amputated. Hayes has suffered permanent serious scarring and a permanent limited range of motion to her mouth. Hayes(19) described the day of the attack as “the day a piece of (her) died.” She recalled feeling her lip being torn away by Fleury’s teeth and him yanking her out of her car so he could use it to flee. Terrified bystanders rushed to her aid. Hayes, like many victims of domestic violence, initially blamed herself for what happened. “Our relationship was toxic from the start, with lies and manipulation. My family and friends didn’t approve they thought he was disrespectful and rude. But I was scared to get out of the relationship, because I thought he might harm me”. Seth Aaron Fleury, (23)said “he was going to leave his mark for (her) next boyfriend,” A judge sentenced Fleury to 12 years in prison on a charge of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature. Fleury will become eligible for parole after serving at least 85 percent of his sentence. Hayes, who is in a new relationship, has called her new boyfriend Blake a “godsend” “He's been there with me through surgeries and during Seth's trial. He's been such an angel and he's lifted me up on my worst days. He tells me I'm beautiful. He tells me that he loved my smile before, and he loves my smile now”. Hayes has established a Facebook group called, Rise Above, to help other women recognize the signs of domestic violence. One of the mottos of the group is, “Wear your scars as wings.” #kaylahayes #Riseabove

  • A South Carolina woman can finally smile again following surgery to fix her lower lip, which was bitten off by her ex-boyfriend after she refused to get back together with him. “He wanted to make me ugly so no one would love me,” Kayla Hayes told Inside Edition of the 2016 attack.
#SethFleury was Hayes' first serious boyfriend, she said. At the time, she was 17. He was 21. “He made me believe that he loved me,” she recalled. But Fleury quickly became too controlling, Hayes said. She tried to break up with him repeatedly, but each time he would shower her with cards begging for forgiveness and she'd cave.

Finally, after 11 months of dating, Hayes broke up with him for good. When Fleury asked to meet one last time to return some personal items, she agreed. She said she was in her car when he suddenly leaned forward to kiss her, but it was no gentle farewell. #domesticabuse #domesticabusesurvivor #domesticabuseawareness #narcissisticabuse

#Republican politicians frequently have to say dumb and vile things to justify abortion bans that don't allow exceptions under any circumstances—including pregnancies resulting from #rape or #incest, or if the woman's life is in danger. The latest example comes from an #Oklahoma state representative, #GeorgeFaught, who introduced a bill that would ban abortions due to fetal genetic abnormalities or Down syndrome. The bill would make it illegal for doctors to perform #abortions under that criteria; those who refuse to comply could have their licenses suspended or revoked and face fines of up to $100,000.

  • Women should get as far away from Oklahoma as soon as possible because Christian Sharia law is about to make their lives a living hell.

If Oklahoma state GOP Rep. #GeorgeFaught has his way, rape will be on the path to being legal in the state. At least that’s what rapists are hoping for after Faught made a frightening statement on the subject during a debate on House Bill 1549, which restricts abortion.

Democratic Rep. Cory Williams masterfully cornered Faught during the hearing by asking him if he believes rape and incest are the “will of God” since the legislation has no exceptions for either, meaning women would be forced to give birth to their rapist’s baby.

Faught’s reply is absolutely appalling and demonstrates once again why women should never vote for Republicans, especially Republicans who want to base our laws on the Bible. “Well, you know, if you read the Bible, there’s actually a couple circumstances where that happened,” Faught said. “The Lord uses all circumstances. I mean, you can go down that path, but it’s a reality unfortunately.” Faught literally just used the Bible to justify rape. And then he used it to justify incest. “Same answer,” Faught replied. Then he argued that Williams’ questions have nothing to do with the bill. Williams vehemently disagreed and explained why. “You are proffering a divine intervention as the reason why you won’t do that and so I think it is very important,” Williams said before demanding Faught repeat his answer again. “This body wants to know — and myself personally — whether you believe rape and incest are actually the will of God.” Faught obliged and stated that rape and incest are God’s will because God is sovereign over all activities that happen. This is exactly the same kind of statement that Republicans like Rick Santorum and Richard Mourdock made during the 2012 Election.

Religion can make people do some crazy things, and it looks like religion (plus a mental illness, obviously) played a major role in the abuse of 13 siblings in California. The kids, aged 2 to 29, were held captive by their parents Louise and David Turpin.
___
.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s department revealed in a disturbing report that the children were “shackled to their beds with chains and padlocks in dark and foul-smelling surroundings.”
___
.
The children were fed just one “rationed” meal a day, and they were only allowed to shower twice a year. The house was filled with the smell of urine, and when police walked inside the house, they found a few of the siblings chained to furniture.
___
.
And by now, you might be wondering how the police found out about the abuse. Well, one of the children (a 17-year-old girl) jumped out a window and called 911 using a cell phone she located outside the home. Those who saw her say she looked to be 10-years-old and clearly had a mental capacity below her age.
___
.
Us Weekly reports:
___
.
“All the siblings are currently hospitalized and receiving antibiotics, vitamins and nutrients for severe malnutrition, the law enforcement official told NBC News. Psychologists will be brought in to evaluate the victims when their health improves.”
___
.
David’s mother, Betty Turpin, claims to be shocked by all this. She says she had “no idea” what was going on inside the family’s home. Betty called the parents “model Christians,” and admitted this is a very hard pill to swallow.
___
.
“It’s hard to believe all of this. Over the years, the Lord knows what happened. David and Louise had such a large family because God wanted them to.”
___
.
I wonder if God also wanted them to abuse their children? I can’t imagine him wanting that. In fact, I’m like 99.9% sure he didn’t want that. I don’t think God called for that audible.
___
.
Both Louise and David have been charged with torture and child endangerment. Their bail was set at $9 million.

  • The California “house of horrors” parents who abused and tortured 12 of their 13 children were sentenced to life in prison Friday with the possibility of parole after 25 years.

Some of the children of the couple spoke in a packed courtroom ahead of their parents' sentencing. Judge Bernard Schwartz said the children were not allowed to be filmed or photographed by assembled members of the media at the Hall of Justice in Riverside. "Sometimes, I still have nightmares of things that have happened, like my siblings getting chained up or beaten," said one of the Turpins' sons in an impact statement he read to the courtroom.

Another one of the Turpins' children, identified as Jane Doe No. 4, also read a statement ahead of the sentencing. Of the living conditions, she said, “Life may have been bad, but it made me strong.” "My parents took my whole life from me but now I'm taking my whole life back," she said. She said she is in college now and doing well.

CALIFORNIA 'HOUSE OF HORRORS' PARENTS FACE LIFE IN PRISON; 911 CALL FROM DAUGHTER RELEASED: 'SOMETIMES WE LIVE IN FILTH' "I am a fighter, I'm strong and I'm shooting through life like a rocket ," Jane Doe No. 4 said.

Some of the other children said they still love their parents. One child asked for a lighter sentence. "I think 25 years is too long," a statement from the child read. "I believe our parents did their best to raise all 13 of us." #DavidTurpin and #LouiseTurpin had pleaded guilty in Riverside County Superior Court
